Katrin Otto is a project manager with Deutsche Boerse Group, focussing on developing and thriving Deutsche Boerse's group-wide China Strategy. In her position, Ms Otto is responsible for the coordination of the group's cooperation with Chinese companies and represents Deutsche Boerse Group in its China-related interests towards the German and Chinese government authorities, international forums, business associations and think tanks. Her work includes developing short- and long term strategic roadmaps, drafting advocacy papers and giving guest lectures on China-related economic and strategic initiatives. As a pioneer, she was invited to the Chinese government authorities to learn about the Chinese capital market and investigate the potential of future cooperations under the provision of the "One Belt, One Road"- Initiative to support the real economies. Ms Otto holds a Master's degree in strategy and finance, a Bachelor's degree in East Asia Management and went to Taipei to study politics and Mandarin half a year at National Chengchi University. During her studies, she completed several internships to gain practical experience, such as at the Corporate Strategy and Politics departments with Deutsche Post DHL and the Research and Business Development departments at a local Chinese company. She joined both McKinsey and China Development Industrial Bank as a visiting consultant and started her career off in consulting before she joined Deutsche Boerse Group.
