Jahrgang: Jahrgang 2017
Alexander Özbahadir has been working for Jungheinrich AG, a German material handling manufacturer and service provider, over the last 12 years. At Jungheinrich he worked in several positions, mainly in China, where he managed the Sales Company since 2011 and became head of Jungheinrich's Management Board in China after 2013. During these years the company faced strong growth and he had the chance to learn from customers, colleagues and officials about the specialities of the Chinese business world. A personal highlight was the reception of the Silver Magnolia Award by the Shanghainese Government. After coming back to Germany he took over responsibility as Vice President Sales, globally responsible for indirect sales channels. Alexander received his German Diploma in Finance, Marketing and Logistics from the Business & Information Technology School in Iserlohn in 2004. Before starting to work he spent a semester at the Beijing Language and Culture University to start learning Chinese, which greatly impacted his further development. He further holds an executive MBA from INSEAD in France and from Tsinghua University in Beijing, receiving honours for his thesis about fast growth for German companies in China.
