Lisa has more than 8 years of experience in international cooperation for sustainable development and has held various positions at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. In her current position she advises the Trade Policy Division of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) on anchoring sustainable development aspects in multilateral trade fora and international policy development processes. Prior to this, Lisa worked as Advisor to the Vice-Chair of the Management Board of GIZ. Between 2011 and 2015 she managed a programme on regional economic integration in Beijing, which aimed to strengthen cross-border cooperation between China and Central as well as East Asian transition economies. Lisa holds an interdisciplinary degree in Area Studies China and International Economic Law and studied at Cologne as well as Shanghai International Studies University. She is a fellow of the Asian Forum on Global Governance by the Observer Research Foundation, India and the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius, Germany.
