Moritz Rudolf is currently preparing for the second state examination in Law and writing his PhD., on the role of the People's Republic of China shaping today's international legal order. Between 2014 -2016 he has worked at the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS), with a specific focus on China's legal policy, geopolitical initiatives, and foreign relations. In 2017 he was a fellow within the Berlin-based Research Group "The international rule of law - Rise or Decline?" Moritz Rudolf finished his law studies, which he conducted in Heidelberg in 2014 with the first state examination. He holds a Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Heidelberg obtained in 2010. In addition, he has spent over two years in Beijing (e.g. at the BLCU and Tsinghua University), studying Mandarin and Economics.
