Till Kötter works as Advisor to Division KI II6 - International Climate Policy at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB). Seconded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), he is part of the team preparing for UNFCCC COP 23 and previously supported BMUB during the German G20 Presidency, the German G7 Presidency and the run up to the Paris Agreement. Prior to this, Till worked in the Sino-German Climate Change Programme at the Beijing office of GIZ where he coordinated the development of training modules on climate governance in cooperation with the Training Center of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the provinces of Hubei, Jiangxi, Jilin and Shanxi. Before this, Till worked as Programme Manager with a focus on transatlantic climate policy dialogue at the Washington office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, bringing together progressive stakeholders from government, private sector and civil society, at national and subnational level. Till holds an M.A. in International Affairs from Sciences Po - Institut d'Études Politiques - in Paris and studied Journalism at the University of Florida. Having stayed in Iten, Kenya, Till has a passion for running and is currently training for the Berlin Marathon.
